AEW To Conduct On-Site Medical Testing At Next Week’s Live Dynamite Taping

AEW is taking all the right steps to ensure the safety of their performers. As seen on last night’s AEW Dynamite post show, Jim Ross broke the news and Excalibur confirmed that was the case and it came at the insistence of management. JR: “I think also, as another safety precaution, we’re going to be getting tested.” Excalibur: “Yes. There will be on-site point-of-care testing for everybody that enters the building that day. So that was something that was insisted upon by our management team that if we are going to resume these things, we need to keep everybody as safe as possible. And so for me personally, I’m a little bit of a germophobe, so that went a long way to calming my nerves.” It’s worth noting that they didn’t confirm what they were being tested for, as the tests for COVID-19 are different than just a general temperature check like WWE has been implementing at their Performance Center tapings. All Elite Wrestling is moving back to a live format after taping several weeks of content in Georgia; they will resume hosting closed set shows at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The state recently classified a number of sports leagues with a national audience, which would include wrestling, as essential businesses and that is allowing them to continue to host shows despite stay-at-home orders for the public. Next week’s show is set to feature the following matches: Kenny Omega & Matt Hardy vs. Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara Jon Moxley vs. Frankie Kazarian Cody Rhodes vs. Joey Janela
