IMPACT On AXS Tv Live Results (09/01/2020)


Sami Callihan vs. Rob Van Dam (with Katie Forbes)

As RVD takes a moment to relish his entry into the ring with Katie Forbes (mid-twerk) Sami hammers him to the outside. Callihan feeds him into guardrail after guardrail as Forbes steps in the way and begins twerking in front of Sami. Sami shoves her but Rob captilizes. RVD gets him back in the ring and takes another moment to share with Katie so Sami makes him pay with a suplex.


Hard palm strikes by Sami, but Forbes gets involved again on the outside. She does it again too and Rob kicks him down on the outside. RVD sends him into the ring post before hanging him out to dry on the guardrail and does his patented spinning leg drop off the apron. Hard thigh kicks by Rob as he sends him backk into the ring. Mahattan drop by Rob and face plants Sami down. Rolling thunder attempt, but takes too much time and Sami gets his knees up. He eventually hits a low cutter on Rob before laying him out with two crisp lariats.


Callihan sets him up for a bomb, but Forbes once more gets on the apron and Rob takes advantage. Split legged moonsault. Just a two count. Spinning leg drop by Rob. Just like last week, a slow attempt at a Five Star trips Rob up and Sami hits a hangman cutter from the turnbuckle. RVD kicks out at two.


Sami goes for a piledriver but Katie AGAIN slides in to thwart things. RVD soon tries to roll Sami up but Sami reverses the pin attempt in his favor for the 1-2-3.


WINNER: Sami Callihan


Post-match Katie taunts Sami, and he heads her way, but RVD attacks and rolls him back into the ring. He chokes Sami in the corner. He continues the effect with a chair. Katie charges and rear-end busters him in the corner before she does it again with a steel chair. RVD follows up with a dropkick in the corner too as Forbes holds up a chair for him. They make out to celebrate.


We see Hernandez winning an arm wrestling match against Fallah Bahh. Bahh loses and pays up. As Hernandez counts the cash, in come Reno Scum who have a match against Rhino tonight. The say no Heath is in the building tonight. They say if they take out Rhino they want to be paid big. Hernandez agrees on that.


WrestleHouse Segment

John E. Bravo kept the truth from Taya as she and Rosemary were just getting on the same page. They betrayed her, says Taya. They were supposed to be in WrestleHouse as long as it takes, but now Taya says they’re not leaving until she says they are.


Johnny Swinger lost the blindfold match last week and now Crazzy Steve got dress him up. Swinger won’t come out however. Kylie asks have they tried being nice? They all lay it on thick to try to get him out. Swinger finally obliges dressed in clown make up. He says Matt Bourne’s even judging him right now.


Tommy Dreamer pulls Bravo aside and tells him that he’s going to be the special guest between Taya and Rosemary.


RENO SCUM VS. RHINO

The match starts right off on the entryway as he slugs it out with both members. Rhino gets them both in the ring but the two double team him with a slick foot stomp on his back. Hard shots by Luster as we cut to break.


We return to see Adam and Luster hammering away at Rhino. Dropkick and standing moonsault by Thornstowe but Rhino kicks out.


Standing headbutt by Luster. Two count again. Rhino fights back, but Luster hits jawbreaker to down the Man Beast. Rhino soon finds his rythym as he knocks Luster to the outside. He sizes up Thornstowe for a Gore, but Luster drags him out. Rhino nails a Gore on him instead. Meanwhile Thornstowe slides off his studded belt as he’s ready for Rhino to get back in, but an IMPACT crew member comes into the right and catches Thornstowe with a Wake Up Call. It’s clearly Heath. Rhino covers and gets the win


WINNER: Rhino


Post-match Heath reveals himself. He and Rhino embrace before Scott D’Amore breaks it all up.


We cut to EC3 who has a message for Moose. He’s going to allow him to have an allotted time to claim what he believes is his: The TNA Championship. If Moose doesn’t make the attempt, he will send him the belt piece by piece. Moose runs off and tells an individual to call the police because EC3 has his belt. The man says EC3 is on the other side of the building. Moose runs off as he reveals to be wearing a “Control Your Narrative” shirt.


The Good Brothers are backstage with crew members and he’s telling a story of The OC in New Orleans of how Doc fell asleep in a loud bar. In come The Rascalz. They have Ace & Fulton tonight. Doc and Karl offer their help, but Rascalz plan to handle business.


Back to WrestleHouse. John E. is dressed in zebra stripes. Swinger tries dolling out advice to him but Deaner and Jake Something tell him to not listen to the guy in clown makeup. Swinger leaves. Larry comes in the fold in a bad mood. Deaner and Jake accuse him of taking their beer. Larry and Ace say they have “No Truce” and the two begin fighting. Dreamer watches on as he casually says “match time.” The four brawl it out. Ace bodyslams Deaner on the couch who pokes him in the eye. Soon, the two are shown playing ping pong. Larry and Something are brawling. Something ducks in front of a mounted duck and Larry punches the wall. Ace hits the ping pong ball into Deaner’s mouth as the four of them duke it out by the ping pong table.


Romero tries taking Deaner out in a trash cart. Deaner escapes and goes to punch Acey, but the elevator door closes as he heads down. Deaner runs down the steps to catch him and does so. He punches him before hopping on a tricycle. Deaner bikes off screen and crashes into a car. Jake Something beats down Larry as he full on sprints his way towards Larry and Acey. Acey has plenty of time to move Deaner out of the way. Larry gets the upper hand and throws Deaner into the bedroom. Deaner looks under the bed and sees an empty beer bottle. That fires Deaner up and he DDTs Larry down. Acey asks him if he’s okay and up pops Larry not as himself but “Lawrence D.” He sprays Acey with Ring Rust cologne and Romero passes out.


In comes Susie and she flips out. We see her exiting the room as Dreamer comes looking for the match he’s supposed to be reffing. He opens up the door shocked and decides that Susie is the winner. We see that her left hand is covered in blood. Tommy quickly flees the scene with the excuse he has “the runs.”


ACE AUSTIN & MADMAN FULTON VS. THE RASCALZ (DEZMOND XAVIER & ZACHARY WENTZ)

Fulton and Dez start things off. They circle each other. Dez tries to elude a bit but Fulton shows his gritty strength. He tosses Dez, but he rolls on his feel. Madman catches him but Dez escapes and he tags in Wentz. They double team Madman and Wentz gets a near fall.


A missed kick by Wentz allows Fulton to stomp on Wentz’ back. He flips him over easily as he picks up Wentz for Austin to hit a springboard leg drop. Austin stretches Wentz before stomping a mudhole and tagging in his big man. Fulton strangle sleepers Wentz from the second turnbuckle. He covers, but gets the kick out.


Wentz tries chopping Madman and eventually knees him. He tags in Dez as Austin also gets tagged and Dez is on fire. A dropkick to the spine gets a close fall for Xavier.


Fulton charges at Wentz, but he pulls the ropes and sends Madman tumbling. Wentz dives on top of him before The Rascalz stereo dive onto both FUlton and Austin. A swanton by Dez gets the W.


WINNERS: The Rascalz


Post-match out come MCMG. When Dez and Wentz initially made the open challenge to the roster at Slammiversary, they certainly didnt expect to see Shelley and Sabin. They want to offer the two another shot at MCMG. This time with the Tag Titles on the line. Fulton and Ace attack The Rascalz from behind. Sabin and Shelley slide in for the save.


Deonna sees folks backstage and questions Willie Mack’s attire. He says he has black ties as he shows off his dark Converses. She sees Kimber Lee and shows her concern for Jordynne crashing her shin-dig. She looks to be making an offer to Lee to curate, but Moose interrupts asking about EC3. They say no and we go to break.


Rohit Raju is admiring his X-Division Title as TJP comes in. Raju gives him a facemask and TJP puts it on the champ instead as he takes his shot at challenging Rohit. Raju says that Chris Bey still needs his rematch and Perkins accepts being next in line after Bey.


TAYA VAKYRIE VS. ROSEMARY (SPECIAL REF: JOHN E. BRAVO)

The two talk trash to one another before exchanging slaps. They brawl it out as John E. breaks it up. Taya charges but Rosemary elbows her. Taya soon charges at Rosemary in the corner, once with a butt bump and the second with her knees. Taya covers Rosemary, but she kicks out.


Rosemary fires back in the opposite corner before suplexing Taya over for a two count. Tay slowly gets to her feet but Rosemary catches with a spear. Taya catches her with a spear before both boot one another down. WrestleHouse pounds the mat and both get up. A missed charge at the turnbuckle allows Taya to hit her finisher. John E. administers the pinfall.


WINNER: Taya Valkyrie


Bravo goes to raise Taya’s hand but she wants nothing of it. Bravo asks Rosemary if she’s alright. She says Bravo did the right thing by calling it down the middle and tells everyone to go home before stating “there’s nothing left to be done.” John E. says there is one more thing, gets on his knee and presents a ring.


John E. says there is no conflict of interest between him managing Taya and him wanting to marry Rosemary. Taya approves. John E. pops the question. She reminds him that she’s a demon. Bravo is okay with it and she says yes. Swinger is crying in his clown make-up. Kylie asks if they can go back to the IMPACT Zone. Taya gives her blessing.


We cut to Crazzy Steve who admits to drinking the beer Deaner found stolen. It appears that they all teleport back to the IMPACT Zone, ending the segment.


DEONNA PURRAZZO’S BLACK TIE AFFAIR

Kimber Lee kicks off Deonna’s “Black Tie Affair” by introducing the champion who is dressed to the nines. She thanks everyone for coming. She tells them all to raise a glass (after she trashes them) and she and Kimber Lee drink. Deonna says she has painted a masterpiece since getting into IMPACT. She notes that shes beat Grace not once, but twice. She says nothing and no one is going to ruin her night. Out comes Jordynne Grace with mic in hand.


Grace apologizes for being in jeans. She’s not here to ruin the moment, she’s here to congratulate Purrazzo. She tells her to enjoy her reign, because it is not going to last. Tenille Dashwood comes out. She says this is such a special moment and is shocked that everybody showed up for her surprise return. She says she’s coming for Deonna’s title.


Jordynne calls out Tenille before WrestleHouse all transport into the IMPACT Zone. Kyle Rae superkicks Kimber Lee as Susie and Raw stand in the ring. Kyle is holding the belt before she gives it back.


Brian Myers is standing backstage. He says that he wants to offer Willie Mack the opportunity to shake his hand and admit that Myers defeated him. In comes Moose to ask about EC3’s whereabouts. Brian is irate after he points the big man in the appropriate direction.


IMPACT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

ERIC YOUNG VS. EDDIE EDWARDS (C)

The bell rings and Eddie comes charging. Both get off to a violent start. Eddie Manhattan drops and suplexes Young. Pin attempt, but kick out.


Eddie chops Young in the corner. Young returns the favor, but so does Eddie in the opposite corner. Young however drops Eddie’s neck over the ropes as we go to break.


Back from commercial, Eddie is firing away at Young with a flurry before slugging him down and baseball sliding underneath his legs to drop Young’s face on the apron. Edwards rolls him back into the ring, but then goes to suplex him on the apron. YOung fights him off and the two trade punches. Young hits a neckbreaker on the apron. Eddie is out as Young rolls him back in the ring. He elbows Eddie’s head over the ring before a pin attempt. Kick out.


Eddie soon chops back but Young catches him with a running neckbreaker. Another kick out. Eric stomps away at the champ before choking him on the bottom rope. He then does the same with the middle rope. Young stomps him more in the corner. Another ravishing neckbreaker. Two count. He focuses on the neck of Eddie as he wrenches away on the mat.


Eddie elbows free, but a hard forearm by Young downs him. He hits him with a second forearm shiver. Young goes to lariat him down but Eddie tosses him with a throwaway Blue thunder bomb. Both men are down.


Both men answer the ten count. Eddie flurries away with punches and chops. Eric is slouched in the corner. Edwards tosses him into the opposite side, but the two go back and forth. Eddie hits a backpack stunner for a two count. Both men are slow to their feet.Young charges at Eddie in the corner, Eddie kicks him and then goes for a super plex. Young punches and bites him off. He leaps off with an elbow drop and gets a very near fall at two. Young screams in frustration.


Young wheelbarrows Eddie but the champ lands on his feet and the two trade chops. Eddie soon catches Young with boot that sends EY crashing into the barricade on the outside. Eddie leaps onto Young and it looks like Eddie buckles his knee on it. The action gets back to the ring and Eddie hits a tiger driver. Eddie grabs his knee and it allows EY to kick out.


EY bails as Eddie aims for a Boston KNee Party. Eddie dives once more onto the outside crashing onto Young. EY rolls back in the ring as he fights the ref for the title. The ref pulls it free and as he sets it aside, EY smacks Eddie with his hockey mask. He hits the Piledriver and we have a new champion!


WINNER and NEW IMPACT World Champion: Eric Young


Post-victory, Eric is not done. He takes out the knee of Eddie and then leg locks Eddie in the middle of the ring. Out comes security to break it up. Eddie screams in pain as EY walks off with the World Title over his shoulder.
