PWG just announced Matt Riddle will no longer be taking part in their annual Battle of Los Angeles tournament this summer.
The company tweeted, “Matthew Riddle will no longer be a participant in the 2018 Battle of Los Angeles. Trevor Lee has now entered the tournament in his place!”
The popular independent wrestler and former UFC fighter also dropped out of an upcoming event for OTT Wrestling in Ireland set to take place SummerSlam weekend.
The cancellations happen as rumors begin to swirl around Riddle possibly being in talks with WWEabout joining NXT and training at the Performance Center. As of this writing, we’ve been unable to confirm if the rumors are accurate.
