Is MLW Close To Finalizing A New Television Deal?

Back in December a major merger between Viacom and CBS took place, which would ultimately affect us here in the pro wrestling community, more specifically, Major League Wrestling. To go into further detail, ViacomCBS announced last month shortly after the merger that they have entered into a definitive agreement with beIN MEDIA GROUP, the parent company of beIN Sports, to acquire 49% stake in Miramax, the film and television studio which will still be owned by beIN MEDIA GROUP.

With the move being made, it appears the deal could head into different directions that could affect beIN Sports and Major League Wrestling. With that said, it's been rumored for quite some time that MLW has been looking for a new home for television. Court Bauer has been hinting on some big news recently through his twitter account, and sources have informed us that the MLW leader has been in Los Angeles as of recent weeks visiting with potential television and licensing partners with the hopes of finalizing a major partnership that could set MLW to new heights.

Surely, with what we've seen over the past year with MLW and the achievements they've had from having their first pay-per-view, partnering up with Pro Wrestling NOAH, AAA Lucha Libre, increasing live event attendance, getting the distribution deal with beIN that triggered a lot of the successes of the company and getting them names such as Low-Ki, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Brian Pillman Jr., "Filthy" Tom Lawlor, Jacob Fatu, Salina De La Renta, Konnan, L.A. Park, and many others, there's only one direction for the company to go, and that's up.
