Jeff Cobb no longer carries around gold, but he will carry an unblemished record into his meeting with PJ Black at State of the Art in Portland, Ore., on June 2.
Cobb lost the ROH World Television Title to Shane Taylor in a Four Corner Survival Match at War of the Worlds in Toronto on May 9, but he wasn’t involved in the decision and still has yet to be pinned or forced to submit in ROH since making his in-ring debut with the promotion in September.
Black, who has had success all over the word, came to ROH to test himself against the best wrestlers in the sport. The South African native has been impressive since signing with ROH earlier this year, but he has yet to knock off an established star. Needless to say, handing Cobb his first defeat would be a huge feather in Black’s cap.
Will Cobb continue his undefeated streak at Black’s expense? Or will Black score the biggest victory of his young ROH career?
